The Scientific Model module allows to share information about scientific models with others

The scientific model module allows projects to share information about available scientific models. Depending on the size of the project, information about these models can be shared between a small group of users or an entire institute. The amount of information that is captured for each model can vary depending on the intended use. This module can be used to have a central list of model names with associated contact persons or one can fully describe each models based on a scientifically developed ontology for models.  

Register a new Scientific Model

If you want others to become aware of your model development, you can register your model using an intuitive interface. You are free to quickly fill in only the most essential information about your model and add more detailed information at a later stage. It is possible to extensively describe your model and, for example, specify all inputs and outputs including their units and provide location and documentation links. The better you describe your model, the higher the chances that other will get into contact.

Searching for Scientific Models

If you are looking for a scientific model, you can simply start typing any word of interest and scientific models matching your query are instantly shown in a list. It doesn't matter on what basis you want to search as all fields are taken into account. Whether you want to start from a contact person, part of the model's name or a desired output is up to you. You can click on any listed model to learn more about it and click further from there. You can also sort models based on a desired column of simply browse through the entire list.
